Teaching Philosophy

My teaching emphasizes the development of a healthy, sustainable technique that enables students to express themselves musically with superior tone quality, rhythmic integrity, and sensitive musicality. I strive to cultivate strong discipline, self-motivation, and confidence in each student as a musician and overall individual. Lessons include instruction on harp technique, history, music theory, musician wellness, and musicianship, and each student experiences a personalized approach that is tailored to their particular goals and progress.

Lesson Information

  • I teach in my home studio located in North Boulder. I am also able to travel to student residences for an additional fee. For certain students, I offer lessons over Skype or FaceTime.

  • I teach both lever and pedal harp, and I have both available in my home studio for student use during lessons.

  • Students must have access to a harp for individual practice. I am able to provide information on affordable rentals.

  • Students must commit to regular lessons.
